Artist's impression of the new SMU Campus Green
Singapore Management University (SMU) announced the embarkment of a two-year development project that will not only add new and much-needed additional learning, teaching and group study spaces to its current campus in the city, but also transform the landscape of the Civic District by injecting energy, zing and activities to the SMU Campus Green, with a vision to bring back the buzz and revive the ‘Bras Basah spirit’. The project will enhance the opportunities for SMU to engage with the community, and showcase the talent and vibrancy of the SMU campus and Singapore’s youth.

    Entrance to Lee Kong Chian School of Business facing the historic Vanguard Building, formerly known as MPH building, which was built in 1908. In 2014, SMU leased the building as a "laboratory" for experiential learning, naming it SMU Labs.


      All about SMU Labs
      Launched in December 2014, SMU Labs is a specially-designed facilities located at the old MPH building in Stamford Road that supports SMU-X courses. Facilities in the three-storey building such as the While and Huddle rooms, are designed to promote active participation, discussion, ideation and collaboration. There are also spaces for play, relaxation and rest. This video introduces the different spaces available to students round the clock for their enriched learning experiences.
