Evans Road Building
- Singapore Management University’s first classroom building, located at Evans Road, was used for classes from the university’s opening day on 1 August 2000 until the university moved to the city campus in July 2005. Photo taken on 12 January 2001.
Project Primate
- President Janice Bellace (with flowers), students and faculty at Zouk Club on 13 June 2001. A group of Singapore Management University undergraduates organised SMU’s first student-run service project, Project Primate. As part of the community service module in their leadership and team building course, they adopted a baby Sumatran Orangutan and raised funds for wildlife conservation. The fund-raising efforts culminated in a bash at Zouk.

Preserving Trees at City Campus
- Mature trees were removed from Singapore Management University’s city campus construction site and then replanted on campus after the construction was completed. Among them was a 70-year-old rain tree weighing more than 37 tonnes. The tree was 21-metres in height with a crown 25 metres in diameter. Picture taken at Bras Basah Park on 20 May 2003.
