Professor Wang Heli having a discussion with two students in a roof top garden. In addition to seminar-style teaching, students and faculty may interact in small group discussions in conducive learning spaces around campus.

    A professor conducting a lecture. Instead of big lecture theatres, students in SMU are taught in seminar rooms in classes of not more than 45. Students are encouraged and guided to speak up and present their opinions and arguments cogently, enabling them to learn from both the professors and peers.
