        Preserving Trees at City Campus
        When possible, Singapore Management University preserved the mature trees at the city campus construction site. Several trees were removed and re-planted after construction was completed, while others were conserved in their original location.                 Preserving Trees at City Campus
                Preparations to conserve and remove a tree from Singapore Management University’s city campus construction site.                                                 Preserving Trees at City Campus
                                                Mature trees were removed from Singapore Management University’s city campus construction site and then replanted on campus after the construction was completed. Among them was a 70-year-old rain tree weighing more than 37 tonnes. The tree was 21-metres in height with a crown 25 metres in diameter. Picture taken at Bras Basah Park on 20 May 2003.
