Advancing societal impact : SMU establishes the Office of Impact in 2025

Established in July 2025, the Office of Impact leads SMU's efforts to advance, track, and communicate its contributions to society. In partnership with faculty, schools, and units across SMU, OIM strengthens impactful initiatives, develops frameworks for measuring impact, and helps build a shared, university-wide culture centred on societal impact.
