Prospective students discovering the SMU experience at Early Admissions Discovery Day 2026
The photo features prospective students attending SMU’s Early Admissions Discovery Day on 7 February 2026 at the SMU Hall in Yong Pung How School of Law. Conducted since April 2016 under the initiative of the Ministry of Education, the Early Admissions programme aims to attract high-achieving students to Singapore’s Autonomous Universities. Students with strong academic performance are invited to participate in Discovery Day in lieu of an admissions interview, although the programme does not apply to applicants for the School of Law.
Participants who attend the programme in full receive an admission offer at the conclusion of the event. The day begins with a welcome session, followed by breakout sessions hosted by the various Schools, where students learn about academic programmes, student opportunities, and the distinctive SMU learning experience. These sessions are designed to help prospective students make informed decisions and encourage them to accept their offer of admission to the University.
