Chief Justice Sundaresh Menon and Minister Edwin Tong viewing an exhibition that pays tribute to Dr Yong Pung How

On 8 April 2021, Singapore Management University (SMU) held a ceremony to officially rename its law school after Singapore’s former Chief Justice, Dr Yong Pung How. The new name, Yong Pung How School of Law (杨邦孝法学院), took effect on 11 April 2021, which would have been Dr Yong’s 95th birthday. Guests attending the event had the opportunity to view an exhibition paying tribute to Dr Yong’s significant contributions to public service and to Singapore. The exhibition, together with a portrait of Dr Yong Pung How, was later adapted into a permanent display at the School to inspire students to uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and excellence that characterised Dr Yong’s lifetime of achievements.
