Secretary Clinton greeting guests in the audience after delivering her speech on 17 November 2012 in Singpapore Management University (SMU). Behind her are SMU President Professor Arnoud De Meyer (left) and US Ambassador to Singapore Mr David Adelman (right). The event drew an audience of more than 300 distinguished guests, including US Ambassador to Singapore David Adelman, Singapore’s Minister for Education Heng Swee Keat, Minister of State Josephine Teo, Speaker of Parliament Michael Palmer, SMU Chairman Ho Kwon Ping, and SMU President Professor Arnoud De Meyer. Ministers, ambassadors, government and business leaders, members of SMU’s Board of Trustees, academics, and students were also in attendance. The event was streamed live worldwide on the US State Department’s website, extending its reach well beyond the university community.
