- At the 2026 Open House, members of SMU’s senior leadership team toured various event activities and engaged with staff and students who played key roles in organizing and supporting the university-wide event. Their presence on the ground reflected the university’s appreciation for the collective efforts that contributed to the success of the Open House. A world of opportunities begins with SMU Open House
- The image features the official SMU Open House 2026 welcome installation displayed on campus during the event held from 28 February to 1 March 2026. Designed around a globe motif surrounded by travel-inspired imagery, the display highlights SMU's international outlook and commitment to global educational exposure for all students. Since welcoming its first visitors to the Bukit Timah campus on 23 March 2002, SMU Open House has grown significantly in scale and scope. What began as a programme of admissions talks, campus exhibitions, student performances, and recreational activities have transformed into a comprehensive showcase of the University's academic offerings, student life, and distinctive culture. Today, the annual event features more than 100 talks, sample classes, interactive experiences, campus tours, performances, and engagements with over 150 student clubs and organisations, enabling prospective students to experience firsthand the opportunities and community that define the SMU journey.

Animal Day adds a warm touch to SMU Open House 2026

Beyond offering visitors a lively introduction to the SMU community, academic programmes, and vibrant student life, the Open House also provided a glimpse into the university’s diverse student clubs and activities. One of the clubs is People for Animal Welfare (PAW) who organized and held their annual Animal Day, in conjunction with the Open House on 1 March 2026. This pet-friendly and family-friendly carnival brought animal lovers together to promote pet adoption, raise awareness of animal welfare issues, and educate the public on responsible animal care. The presence of the animals added excitement and energy to the Open House atmosphere, creating memorable interactions for visitors.

Prospective students explore areas around SMU's city campus on an open-top bus tour
- One of the highlights of SMU Open House 2026 was the opportunity for visitors to explore the campus and its surrounding city environment through a series of guided tours. Organised and led by student ambassadors from SMU Ambassadorial Corps (ASMU), the programme featured both a campus walking tour and an open-top bus tour. A total of 16 walking tours and 16 bus tours were conducted throughout the event. This photograph captures prospective students, parents, and visitors participating in an open-top bus tour around the city precinct surrounding the SMU campus. The route took participants past key landmarks and districts including Hill Street, Stamford Road, Selegie Road, Middle Road, Bencoolen Street, Bras Basah Road, Esplanade Drive, Cross Street and Eu Tong Sen Street. More than a sightseeing experience, the tour introduced visitors to SMU’s strategic location in the heart of Singapore’s civic and business districts. By showcasing the University’s close proximity to the Central Business District, where many students undertake internships and gain industry experience, the tour highlighted the unique advantages of a city campus and the wealth of opportunities available beyond the classroom.
