97.5° Arc x 8 sculpture by Bernar Venet in Campus Green
- The "97.5° Arc x 8" is part of Bernar Venet's Arc series of sculptures, which illustrate the beauty, balance and malleability of steel. Its name describes its mathematical composition, where all of the beams in the sculpture are nested and curved to the same angle providing a sense of balance and grace. The sculpture was donated to SMU by Dato' Kho Hui Meng on 19 May 2017. It is situated prominently in Campus Green.

Professor Lily Kong, the newly appointed Provost, joins SMU from 1 September 2015
- The Singapore Management University (SMU) is pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Lily Kong (江莉莉教授) as the University’s new Provost (教务长兼常务副校长). Professor Kong, who is currently Vice Provost (Academic Personnel) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) where she also holds the Provost’s Chair Professorship, will join SMU from 1 September 2015. At SMU, Professor Kong will hold the Lee Kong Chian Chair Professorship of Social Sciences (李光前社会科学讲座教授).
