- A professor conducting a lecture. Instead of big lecture theatres, students in SMU are taught in seminar rooms in classes of not more than 45. Students are encouraged and guided to speak up and present their opinions and arguments cogently, enabling them to learn from both the professors and peers.

Through iterations of working with peers from different backgrounds to achieve group learning goals, students emerge interpersonally attuned and socially aware. Co-Founders of the North is a multi-player strategy game developed for various business courses to teach concepts such as strategic decision making, long-term investment planning and risk management.
