      Groundbreaking for the Evans Road Building

        Talk by Chairman of the Board of Trustees
        Faculty and the pioneer class of Singapore Management University undergraduates at talk by Ho Kwon Ping, Chairman of the Board of Trustees. He gave students an account of his personal life and corporate experiences. The talk was held at the Singapore Art Museum on 19 July 2000.           Groundbreaking for the Evans Road Building
          Singapore Management University Chairman Ho Kwon Ping and President Janice Bellace don yellow boots and hard hats for the first foundation pile for the Evans Road building on 12 January 2000. Located adjacent to the Bukit Timah campus, SMU operated out of the Evans Road building for the first academic year. This date also marks the incorporation of SMU and it is celebrated each year as Patron’s Day.
